Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 19, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all cleaning and related services provided by Little Bucket Cleaning (“Little Bucket Cleaning,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”).
By booking a service, accepting a quote, paying an invoice or deposit, authorizing recurring service, or otherwise allowing Little Bucket Cleaning to perform services at your property, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
1. SERVICES
Little Bucket Cleaning provides residential, commercial, move-in/move-out, recurring, deep-cleaning, and other cleaning-related services as described in the applicable quote, booking confirmation, invoice, or service agreement.
The specific scope of each service is determined by the written quote, booking confirmation, or other written communication provided by Little Bucket Cleaning.
Services or areas not expressly included in the agreed scope may require an additional charge.
2. ESTIMATES AND QUOTES
Quotes are based on the information provided by the Customer, including property size, condition, number of rooms, requested services, photographs, and other relevant information.
Unless otherwise stated, quotes are estimates based on reasonably expected conditions.
If the actual condition, size, occupancy, amount of clutter, level of buildup, or scope of work differs materially from what was represented when the quote was prepared, Little Bucket Cleaning may:
-
adjust the price;
-
recommend additional services;
-
limit the cleaning to the originally purchased amount of labor or scope; or
-
decline to perform work that was not reasonably contemplated by the original quote.
When practical, we will notify the Customer before performing work that would result in an additional charge.
3. PAYMENT
Payment is due according to the terms stated on the applicable quote, invoice, or booking confirmation.
By providing a payment method, the Customer authorizes Little Bucket Cleaning and its payment processors to charge amounts that the Customer has authorized in connection with booked services, including applicable taxes, approved additional services, and fees disclosed under these Terms.
For recurring services, the Customer authorizes the payment method on file to be charged for each scheduled service in accordance with the agreed recurring service arrangement until the recurring service is canceled.
Returned payments, failed payments, disputed charges, or unpaid balances may result in suspension or cancellation of future services.
Little Bucket Cleaning reserves the right to pursue lawful collection of amounts legitimately owed.
4. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
We understand that schedules change.
Unless otherwise stated in your quote or booking confirmation, cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service.
Little Bucket Cleaning reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service price for cancellations or rescheduling occurring less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
If our cleaning team arrives and cannot enter the property, the Customer may be charged up to 100% of the scheduled service price to compensate for reserved labor and travel time.
Little Bucket Cleaning may waive these fees in its discretion, including in emergencies.
If Little Bucket Cleaning must cancel or reschedule a service, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and arrange another service time. Our liability for a Company-initiated cancellation is limited to amounts paid for the service that was not performed.
5. PROPERTY ACCESS
The Customer is responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property.
Access may be provided through a key, door code, lockbox, garage code, property manager, or another method agreed upon with Little Bucket Cleaning.
The Customer represents that they have authority to permit Little Bucket Cleaning and its personnel to enter and perform services at the property.
Little Bucket Cleaning is not responsible for locksmith fees, alarm charges, lockouts, or other expenses resulting from incorrect access instructions supplied by the Customer.
6. SECURITY AND ALARMS
Customers must provide any information necessary to safely enter and exit the property.
If an alarm system will remain active during service, the Customer must provide accurate instructions for disarming and rearming the system.
Little Bucket Cleaning is not responsible for alarm charges or security dispatches resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated instructions supplied by the Customer.
7. PETS
We are happy to work in homes with pets.
Customers must notify Little Bucket Cleaning of animals that may be present at the property.
Animals that are aggressive, territorial, likely to escape, or otherwise create a safety concern must be safely secured before our arrival.
Little Bucket Cleaning may refuse or discontinue service if an animal creates an unsafe working environment.
We are not responsible for escaped pets or pet-related incidents when the Customer has failed to reasonably secure an animal or disclose a known behavioral or safety concern.
8. CHILDREN AND OCCUPANTS
Customers are responsible for supervising children, pets, guests, contractors, and other occupants present while cleaning services are being performed.
Our cleaning personnel may use equipment, cleaning products, cords, wet-floor processes, and other materials that should not be handled or approached by unsupervised children or animals.
9. VALUABLE, FRAGILE, OR IRREPLACEABLE ITEMS
Customers should secure cash, jewelry, medications, firearms, important documents, collectibles, sentimental objects, antiques, artwork, and other valuable or irreplaceable property before service.
Customers must inform us of items requiring special handling.
Little Bucket Cleaning may decline to clean or move items that appear unusually fragile, valuable, unstable, improperly installed, or likely to be damaged through ordinary cleaning.
10. PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE AND NORMAL WEAR
Little Bucket Cleaning is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, ordinary wear, deterioration, improper installation, defective materials, loose fixtures, aging surfaces, manufacturer defects, or items that cannot withstand ordinary cleaning methods.
Examples may include:
-
loose or improperly secured fixtures;
-
deteriorating grout or caulk;
-
chipped or cracked surfaces;
-
peeling paint or finishes;
-
loose blinds;
-
unstable furniture;
-
improperly mounted televisions, artwork, shelving, or decorations;
-
damaged flooring;
-
deteriorated stone or countertops;
-
worn appliances;
-
loose handles or knobs; and
-
surfaces damaged by prior use of chemicals or cleaning products.
11. DELICATE AND SPECIALTY SURFACES
The Customer is responsible for notifying Little Bucket Cleaning of surfaces requiring special cleaning instructions, including natural stone, marble, specialty wood, antique surfaces, custom finishes, delicate metals, specialty flooring, or manufacturer-restricted materials.
If the Customer requests that we use a specific product or cleaning method, Little Bucket Cleaning is not responsible for damage caused by the requested product or method to the extent permitted by law, unless the damage results from our negligence or misconduct.
12. DAMAGE CLAIMS
We take reasonable care while working in your property.
If you believe our personnel damaged property during a cleaning, please notify Little Bucket Cleaning as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 48 hours after completion of the service.
The notice should include photographs and a description of the claimed damage when reasonably available.
Prompt notice allows us to investigate the circumstances and determine an appropriate resolution.
Nothing in this section eliminates rights that cannot legally be waived or shortened under applicable law.
Little Bucket Cleaning reserves the right to inspect alleged damage and, where appropriate, determine whether repair, replacement, reimbursement, insurance handling, or another reasonable remedy is appropriate.
13. SERVICE QUALITY AND RE-CLEAN POLICY
We want Customers to be satisfied with the cleaning they receive.
If an area included within the agreed scope was materially missed or inadequately cleaned, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion.
When appropriate, Little Bucket Cleaning may return to re-clean the affected area at no additional charge.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our satisfaction policy provides an opportunity to correct the service and does not constitute an unconditional money-back guarantee.
Complaints relating to conditions outside the purchased scope of work, permanent staining, damage, wear, discoloration, or conditions that cannot reasonably be corrected through ordinary cleaning are not considered missed cleaning.
14. RESULTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED
Cleaning results depend on factors including the age, condition, material, prior maintenance, staining, buildup, and previous treatment of a surface.
Little Bucket Cleaning does not guarantee complete removal of stains, mold, mildew, mineral deposits, rust, odors, discoloration, pet damage, permanent buildup, or other conditions that may not respond to normal professional cleaning.
15. CLUTTER AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
Customers should remove excessive clutter and personal belongings from areas they expect to be cleaned.
Unless specifically included in the service, cleaning personnel are not required to organize significant amounts of personal property in order to reach surfaces.
Excessive clutter may increase the required service time or prevent certain areas from being cleaned.
16. HEAVY OR UNSAFE ITEMS
Our personnel are not required to lift or move unusually heavy furniture, appliances, electronics, or other objects.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, cleaning will be performed around such items.
Our personnel will not be required to climb on unsafe structures or furniture or perform work that creates an unreasonable risk of injury.
17. HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS
Little Bucket Cleaning may refuse or immediately discontinue work involving hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions, including but not limited to:
-
human or animal waste beyond ordinary household conditions;
-
excessive bodily fluids;
-
needles or medical waste;
-
toxic chemicals;
-
significant mold;
-
pest infestations;
-
hoarding conditions presenting a safety risk;
-
illegal substances;
-
dangerous weapons;
-
exposed electrical hazards;
-
structurally unsafe areas; or
-
any environment our personnel reasonably believe presents a significant health or safety risk.
The Customer may remain responsible for applicable cancellation or service charges when hazardous conditions were not disclosed before arrival.
18. UTILITIES
The Customer must provide reasonable access to functioning electricity and water where required to perform the service.
Little Bucket Cleaning may be unable to complete some or all services if utilities are unavailable.
19. CLEANING PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT
Little Bucket Cleaning generally determines which cleaning products, tools, and methods are appropriate for the service.
Customers must disclose allergies, sensitivities, manufacturer restrictions, or requested product limitations before service begins.
Requests to use Customer-supplied products are subject to our approval.
20. PHOTOGRAPHS
Little Bucket Cleaning may take reasonable photographs of work areas before or after service for documentation, quality assurance, training, damage documentation, or dispute resolution.
We will not intentionally publish photographs that clearly identify the Customer, their address, family members, private documents, or other sensitive personal information without permission.
Photographs used publicly for advertising, social media, or promotional before-and-after content will only be used with appropriate permission where required.
21. EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
Little Bucket Cleaning may perform services through employees, independent contractors, subcontractors, or other authorized service personnel as permitted by applicable law.
Customers agree that authorized personnel may enter the property for the purpose of performing the booked services.
22. NON-SOLICITATION OF CLEANING PERSONNEL
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Customers agree not to knowingly circumvent Little Bucket Cleaning by directly hiring personnel introduced to them through Little Bucket Cleaning for substantially similar cleaning services outside the Company while that person is providing services through Little Bucket Cleaning.
Any separate non-solicitation arrangement or fee must be expressly stated in a separate written agreement to be enforceable.
23. PERSONAL PROPERTY
Little Bucket Cleaning is not responsible for loss of cash or other property unless the loss is proven to have resulted from wrongful conduct by Little Bucket Cleaning or its personnel.
Customers are strongly encouraged to secure valuable property before service.
Suspected theft should be reported promptly so the matter can be investigated.
24. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Little Bucket Cleaning will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the provision of cleaning services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Bucket Cleaning's liability for a claim arising from a particular cleaning service will not exceed the greater of the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim or the amount actually recoverable under applicable insurance coverage for the covered claim.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
25. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information regarding the property and any conditions reasonably relevant to safely performing the service.
The Customer agrees to inform Little Bucket Cleaning about known hazards, unusually delicate surfaces, aggressive animals, security issues, or other conditions that could reasonably affect the safety or performance of the cleaning.
26. INDEMNIFICATION
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Little Bucket Cleaning harmless from third-party claims arising from hazards, conditions, instructions, or circumstances created or controlled by the Customer that were not reasonably disclosed to Little Bucket Cleaning before service.
This provision does not require the Customer to indemnify Little Bucket Cleaning for Little Bucket Cleaning's own negligence, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be shifted to the Customer.
27. RECURRING SERVICES
Customers enrolled in recurring cleaning authorize Little Bucket Cleaning to provide and charge for services according to the agreed schedule until canceled.
Recurring service is not a guarantee that the same cleaning personnel will perform every visit.
Customers may cancel recurring service according to the cancellation instructions provided when the recurring arrangement is established and applicable law.
If a discounted recurring rate was provided based on an expected frequency and the Customer materially changes that frequency, future services may be repriced.
28. SCHEDULING WINDOWS
Scheduled arrival times may be provided as arrival windows rather than exact appointment times.
Travel conditions, previous appointments, emergencies, staffing, and other circumstances may affect arrival times.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.
29. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Little Bucket Cleaning reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when reasonably necessary because of unsafe conditions, harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, illegal activity, undisclosed hazards, nonpayment, or other circumstances that make continued service unreasonable or unsafe.
30. WEBSITE USE
Content on the Little Bucket Cleaning website is provided for general informational and business purposes.
Users may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious software, impersonate another person, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
All original branding, logos, photographs, written content, graphics, and other materials owned by Little Bucket Cleaning are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
31. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our website and business operations may use third-party services including website hosting, scheduling systems, payment processors, communication platforms, analytics services, mapping services, and other vendors.
Little Bucket Cleaning is not responsible for outages or failures of third-party systems outside our reasonable control.
32. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
By providing your email address or telephone number in connection with a booking or inquiry, you consent to receive service-related communications regarding quotes, appointments, invoices, access, scheduling, and customer service.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any available opt-out rights.
33. FORCE MAJEURE
Little Bucket Cleaning is not liable for delays or inability to perform services caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fires, government orders, road closures, utility outages, widespread illness, labor disruptions, or other extraordinary events.
34. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute shall be brought in an appropriate court having jurisdiction over the dispute, subject to any mandatory rights or venue requirements provided by applicable law.
35. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
36. NO WAIVER
Failure by Little Bucket Cleaning to enforce any provision of these Terms on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce that provision in the future.
37. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Little Bucket Cleaning may update these Terms from time to time.
The Terms applicable to a particular service will generally be the version presented or made available to the Customer when that service or recurring arrangement was booked, unless the Customer agrees to updated terms or applicable law permits otherwise.
38. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the applicable quote, invoice, booking confirmation, and any written service-specific agreement, constitute the agreement between Little Bucket Cleaning and the Customer concerning the applicable services.
If a service-specific written agreement expressly conflicts with these Terms, the service-
specific agreement controls with respect to that conflict.
